February and the first part of March was a tough and busy month for both of us. We (okay, moreso Kelly) did manage to go on a couple of hikes. But we (Todd) didn’t ever find the time to write about them. Consider this a quick “catch up” post.
I think I’ve written before about how we are blessed to live in a place where a good hike out in real nature doesn’t necessarily take a whole lot of planning.
That was these two short hikes.
The first (#6) was to Brown Canyon Ranch (seen in the picture above). It was a short afternoon hike on a school day, but Jamie and her dog Luna came with us, and we actually took a path up above the canyon that we hadn’t taken before. It was an enjoyable day out in the sunshine.
The second short hike was a solo hike that Kelly did (again on school/work day) by herself. I don’t remember what I had going on that day. But she had a nice time, and got a good 4 1/2 miles added to her yearly total.
We’ve got at least 3 more hikes from our California trip to add to the blog, then with spring break coming next week, I’m sure we’ll hit some Arizona trails at least a few more time too.
Sorry for the break, thanks for sticking with us.
Todd
